pain after they check for dilation

So today I had my doctors appointment. I was already dilated at a one my last appointment and I told her I been having the worse contractions so she checked again today. Nothing! No progress. I walk everyday. I have sex. I do everything and still nothing. I was also told my ribs bruised. Well after my appointment my back started to hurt bad. Actually my whole body and I have even more pressure down there. My ribs hurt way less then my body does after she checked if I am.dilated. is this normal? Should I be feeling so bad and sore. I'm also having shooting pains down my back as well. Did anyone else hurt after being checked? I'm 38+4 days.

No she just said if I don't have her by next week she's gonna secdule and induction which I really don't want! No contractions today. I had a couple earlier and they were intense like always. But they also went away like always. Oh no! I hope your baby stays in there until she needs to!

Did she say anything about doing a membrane sweep? Are you having contractions that you could time? If your just achy it's normal at this stage. Take a warm bath, maybe take some Tylenol to relieve some of the ache. Try and rest as much as possible. I was checked last week and I was so sore afterward. I was only 33 weeks I've been fighting preterm labor since 27 weeks so he was making sure I hadn't dilated. But I took some Tylenol and sat with a heat pack for a bit and felt so much better.
