para guard iud???

Anyone have this?
I'm thinking of trying this because I need to take an anticovulsant and the pill and those types of meds dont work well together.

I am iffy about it, but its non hormonal, the only thing im really worried about is weight gain.

And I'm not willing to try mirena

:/

I loved my Paraguard until I developed cysts, but the IUD didn't cause them - I'm just prone to them when not on the pill. I can't take estrogen BC because I am factor 5 (my blood is prone to clotting), and I just got pregnant while taking the mini-pill 8 wks ago so I will probably go back to paraguard after baby :-) I didn't think it was as painful or uncomfortable as other people have... I think it's personal preference!

I had it and loved it because it was no hormone. I plan to get it again after this one

I absolutely hated it, I had mirena and paraguard an they both had horrible side effects. Mirena was more hormones, worse periods etc. paraguard gave me ovarian cysts I had reactions to the copper it started to embed in my uterus . I will never get another iud I have friends who hated them also and refuse to get another

I had it and I loved it!! Going to get it again after this baby..I never gained any weight on it and since it is non hormonal I would think it wouldn't cause weight gain :)
