pelvic exam

I have my second prenatal appointment on Thursday and have not yet received a pelvic exam or pap smear, is this odd?? Also have anyone given birth at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, can you share you experience please? If they neglect to give me a pelvic exam on Thursday, I am seriously considering changing to another hospital... I am so aggravated!

I am 17+ weeks, I think that pelvic exams are supposed,to be done at first prenatal visit, to check for abnormalities and stds so it can be addressed before the pregnancy progresses further. Perhaps repeated when  closer to due date. Also i have not had a pelvic exam for over a year...

I know I didn't have to have a pap smear cause I was up to date with it and I dont have to have another one until October. I haven't had a pelvic exam at all. Thw only time I had anything checked the er doctor was checking to see if my cervix was closed

How far along are you? You don't get pelvic exams until you're around 36 weeks. I would also suggest not getting a pap until after the pregnancy it can come out abnormal then they run more tests and its just stressful.
