I went into labor st work after having steady contractions for a few days and being already 6cm and 100% affaced. I finished my shift and then called my Dr after work.
I probably could do it and work up til i give birth but why do it if i dont hav to! Ill be at home getting everhthing ready for baby and still getting paid and in alot less pain than i am now! Im not planning on taking the full 9 months but wont be going back to where i am now, ill be finding something with better hours while im off because of childcare issues.
My doctor took me off work at 33 weeks due to risk of preterm labor now I'm almost 37 weeks and bored out of my mind :-/
wish i lived in the uk 9months is nice but that is way too much time... i wrk full time and take care of my 4kids and stl have severe sickness frm ths pregnancy i am dialated to a 4 w contractions 5-7mins apart my doc says i should quit but i am very independent im due in 2weeks i feel if i dnt wrk kids dnt eat so that alone keeps me going but besides wrk i go home help w home wrk cook laundry school clothes get kids in bath and ready for bed my spouse is like a child and does nt help at all im not saying im super woman but if i can do wht i do im sure w one child it can nt be that hard
Im finishing 6 weeks before baby is due (2w holiday 4w mat leave) i work nights in a nursing home and im struggling to cope already!! (Im 28w+1) there is a lot of manual handling in my job and also a high risk of violence, id love to be able to finish later but some nights im so exhausted and i ache so much i feel like crying and i feel awful on my work mates cos theres so little i can do! Luckily in the uk we get 9 months paid leave (not full pay)
Lucky for all.
Women now must work in order to help keep up with this expensive materialistic country.
Some women can handle the work. Maternity leave is working up until you are able to keep up. I knew of a woman who stopped working 3 weeks before her c section appointment.
I wasnt able to continue. I left work because of severe morning sickness. I couldny keep still :(
Keep working if you can!
Thanks, feel better now,my boss laughed when i said i only wanted to start it two wk before and made a point of sayin i can bring it forward if need be, but i would rather have the time after he's born.
i must admit i am in pain with my hips and ribs so if need be will bring iy forward but only by a week and only if im desperate. theyre dwindling my work down aswel so am getting pretty bored at work
When i worked, the people worked up until the day before they had them. One girl even came to work in labor. They waited as late as they could do they could get the full 6 weeks of maternity leave and disability pay.
With my first I worked full time all the till two weeks before my due date..
I AM 38 WEEKS DUE IN 2WEEKS AND IM WRKING TILL THE DAY I HAVE HER IVE WRK THE WHOLE PREGNANCY EVEN THREW MY MORNING SICKNESS AND MY LAST DAY WILL BE THE DAY I HAVE HER
