When is your c section? I'm a ftm and I have to have one on the 29th. I wondered what it was going to be like also.

I just had my 2nd csection 3 weeks ago . Don't face the shower head when showing lol . It's not hard to whip or change pads . It might hurt alil binding over when you sit down and get up tho . Depends on how you can handly pain . Big comfy clothes are better for alil awhile . My first one hurt way worse then my 2nd one did but I was good to where I didn't need any help after 3 weeks with both my boys ! Everyone's different tho . You will need help in the beginning after having the csection if you can't deal with pain very good (: good luck tho !!!

I had a c section last Monday it's my second one and I recommend you to wash your c section daily and if it's hot where you are the I would probably shower twice a day and make sure you completely dry your c section before getting dressed..... my ob told me to put a clean piece of towel or a pad on the incision to keep the moist out..... wear loose clothing and some comfy underwear.... and I would recommend to walk so that you recover faster and don't bend down too much.... I would get help so that they clean an help you clean and what not

I didn't have any problems with any of that after my csection. The first shower the nurse came in with me in case I fainted but I was fine from then on. Comfy clothes were great and go poop as soon as you get the urge to get the bowels moving again. Don't be surprised if you have a bit of gas the day after!

To wipe and change pads is not hard at all but to take a shower you might want to not face the shower head because the water falling on the incision is uncomfortable, i would recommend using Dove unscented so it wont irritate your skin around the incision. To get dressed just wear loose comfy clothes because wearing tight jeans or pants are really uncomfortable. I have had 3 csections and learned to just take your time with everything you can do it yourself but if you have help makes things alot easier. Good luck and you have a fast recovery :)
