I only had the Pitocin cuz my water broke at 34weeks so they had to get her out asap. I wasn't having contractions just the amniotic fluid leaking

exactly !! props to you sabwina!!! i just wished I had advice and encouragement last time... everything i went through was unneccesary i swear! the epidural never hit me until i had to push.. i had no painful contractions.. and when they put pitocin i did get them nasty.. i know i could of gone all naturall... but i feel like doctors nowadays just push you on meds... but no not this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup Pitocin makes the pain really strong that's why they had the epidural ready for u. I only lasted half n hour til I literally cried asking them to put the epidural on already. I had them 30sec long every minute. But only after 4hours I dilated all the way and began to push so I think that went pretty quick and we'll easy since I wasn't feeling anything. But I do prefer doing natural now with my second

I wouldn't recommend any of the medicine to help your labor progress. the pitocin cuts off the baby's oxygen and if you still don't start to dilate more you'll end up having to have an emergency c-section due to the baby's lack of oxygen. the only thing I'm okay with taking is the epidural for the pain if it gets unbearable. but I'm still gonna try to do it without any pain meds first.
the movie "the business of being born" opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. although I'm not planning on having a home birth and stuff like they recommend, I'm still gonna put my foot down when it comes to the meds that they want to give me. I don't want any of it.
I mean our bodies are made for labor. women have been doing this for a bunch of years and they never needed any of that junk. lol

what kind of meds??? i was contracting 5mins and dilated a 3cm but my contractions werent painful. at all. so anyways they hook me up with iv.. and once i stayed at 4cm for the whole night my ob decided to give me pitocin and also have the epidural ready... well i feel like I should of just gone home or at least just waited till I was ready.. I really dont think I needed neither..:(

I would love water birth but honestly I do not know if my insurance can pay for it.. and I cannot afford to pay it on my own...
but just going all natural.. i would seriously be happy with that
my body was awesome last time.. until they put everything in.. which i shouldnt have needed and i should of just waited..
