pitocin?

I'm having to get induced on Tuesday and I'm planning on NO epidural. For those of you who were induced, did they just break your water, or did they automatically start pitocin... I've taken so many natural birthing classes and I'm gonna be very disappointed if I can't do it, because I know pitocin makes contractions so much worse....? Anyone?

I went in with my first pregnancy and was already 3 cm dialated, they automatically started pitocin and kept me on it for about two hours but my body was progressing really well so they stopped the pitocin IV after only two hours and my body naturally dialated the rest of the way. But I got the epidural! Good luck! :)

Lol. Thanks. I'm hoping I can make it. I believe in myself. I am in no way against the epidural and I'm not scared to say I need it if all else fails. I just have to remember my techniques I've learned.

I got a membrane sweep yesterday and since then I've been having contractions and cramps but they aren't too close together. Everytime I get one though I feel like I need to push, kinda like I have to poop, but I cant (sry tmi).... I'm hoping I go into labor all on my own before next Tuesday.  I'm also afraid of being in labor, no epidural getting so far aren't having to have a rented c section...

My doctor just said contractions are worse with pitocin if you do natural,  because you are forcing your body into labor.. so your contractions are forced on not natural

I asked my sister (went on her own with her first induced with second natural births for both) and she said she didn't feel much of a difference. And if they really are worse then this time I'm looking at easier delivery lol but just remember your techniques. I didn't do any classes or anything, just knew if every woman in my family can go natural then I can too and I did. Plus I have a high pain tolerance but it's really all mental.

Oh I don't have to have a c section, I'm just worried I'll be in labor forever with no epidural and have to get one after all that pain lol. Idk I'm just worried at the last minute I'll have to get one.

@Mrsrobb, thank you so much!! You have no idea how happy it makes me to just hear one person say they didn't feel much of a difference. I know it's gonna hurt like hell, it's supposed too. I'm having a baby. So I know pain will be intense,  but its also normal to be in pain when you are in labor. And yes It mostly is mental. Thank u again.

My sister in law got the epidural and it ended up slowing her down and she had to get a c section. If that kinda eases your mind.

Your welcome. I know the last like 3 minutes of pushing I started saying I couldn't do it then my mom said she had a lot of hair (daughter) I didn't even know she was crowning so I got it back together and got her out in 2 more good strong pushes. So you just gotta have a good communicating support system and the mentality that the pain will go away. It literally disappears immediately as the baby is out. And if you tear or have to get cut there is so much going on you probably won't feel it. I tore and was so amazed by seeing my daughter that I didn't feel the dr numb me to stitch me up because he didn't have a chance to numb me to cut me before I tore.
