I am assuming the doctor knew you were pregnant so he must see it as being medically necessary to do.  Make sure they don't inject you with any dye though that would be the only thing I would worry about.  Also let the techs know tomorrow when you go that you are pregnant.  They may call the MD to double check.  If you appt is later in the day call the radiology place and ask them before you go in.  They will know all the risks.  MRI's have magnetic waves and use radiofrequency energy and are safer (and may be used as an alternative) to a CT scan which uses x-rays.  Hope this helped you even a little.  Good luck.

do they know you're pregnant? i know that most tests like that should be avoided during the first trimester..is there any way they can wait until the 2nd trimester? it all depends on why you need the test honey...if it's life or death, you'll have to take the risk. I'm currently debating whether or not to get a CT scan of my kidneys (similar risks to MRI)...because they saw several kidney stones on an ultrasound and they want to make sure that none of the stones are big enough to require surgery, but it is of course risky....I've opted not to take the CT scan until/if my pain gets too excruciating.

all tests during pregnancy are a matter of weighing risk vs. benefit...if you NEED to scan, most likely you'll have to take the chance that it presents and hope for the best...otherwise, if you can, hold off until the 2nd trimester or if possible until after the baby's born.

make sure and call the doctor who's referring you for the test and ask them exactly what you asked here....they'll have the best advice for you.
