please help with names! kinda long sorry lol

Okay so here is the dilemma... this is our 3rd child (which we don't know the gender yet) but I feel like I need to have this baby named before we know the gender just cause it makes it easier. I have 2 boys already. My oldest I named after my grandpa and his name is Jerome (he is white. I for some reason feel the need to clarify because everyone always just assumes he's black) anyways his nickname, though, is Jay. Well with our second son we decided to stick with the older names and although it took forever to come up with a name we agreed on, our 2nd sons name is Preston. So the problem is I can't come up with another older boys name we agree on. I hate all "traditional" names like michael and david and thomas and john and christopher...etc. but I love love love the name oliver and he can go by ollie but my husband won't go for it :( so I kinda like henry (which was also his grandpas middle name) but he won't go for that either. My husband is stuck on having either a junior (brian edward...and I hate the name brian) or naming him denny with no middle name after his dad and brother...I hate the name denny too! But I'm not budging on a junior because my husband does unfortunately have a record and although I feel my kids should know he messed up and paid the price I don't think they need to know the specifics (he was young and dumb and sold drugs) and I have known too many cases where the junior forgot to put junior on like a job app and the dads record came up...

Anyways so we already agreed if its a girl it will be adalynn ann (which goes along with the older names) but I need some older boy names that fit my picky requirements lol
Or do you think I should just tell my husband I'm naming him oliver and he can pick the middle name?
Please and thank you!!

I like the boys name Oliver, but if I was going to have a boy I was going to name him after my husband, but oliver is a cute name for a boy

I love Oliver! I am with you on the naming after your husband too. I'd stick with Oliver. I'm having a girl but also had Elliot on my boy list as its older and not used as often. Noah? Graham? Whitaker? Good luck!

I think it's a fair  compromise if you choose the first name and he chooses the middle. I personally don't care for Juniors.  I love the name Oliver. Very cute.

I love the name emma and always wanted a daughter named emma but now have a niece on my husbands side named emma so that is out. But I also always loved adalynn so I'm sticking with that!
And @turtle I love elliot but my husband doesn't like that either...he seriously will not move passed a junior...I'm getting sooo irritated! I even suggested bentley elliot so its the same initials and he won't go for it :(

I highly dislike the idea of juniors. Let the child be their own person and have their own name, after all they're a product of your creation as well. Stick to your guns and don't give in to him. And don't let others influence your decision. You will find the perfect name for your child.

You could always do a more classic, older generation name to your liking and a more modern name for the middle name. You never know what he may end up going by when he's older.
