please help

i'm in 11 weeks 2 days by biometrical dates and the doctor told me that i should be in 12 weeks because of my last menstr date, but my cycle is 35 days instead of 28 and he didn't ask me about this... he told me that it's a serious problem and the baby could have down syndrome but i'm 18 and i don't smoke or take pills... i'm so worried and don't know what to believe... do you know if there really is a risk..?

My son was 1 week and 4 days behind on measurements and it fluctuated throughout the whole pregnancy. 5 month ultrasound he was just 3 days behind. All baby's grow at different speeds. My son is now 18 months and wears a 3t. My doctor said that measurements aren't exact and can also be wrong on an ultrasound. Its practically an estimate. My bff had her baby at 28 weeks. The ultrasound stated the baby weighed 2.3 ounces. She came out a few hours later as healthy as can be. and weighed 2.14 ounces. Ultrasounds are just estimates on size and gives them am idea. You can Aldo be 2 weeks behind your measurements if you have a tilted uterus. This pregnancy with my daughter she was marked 2 weeks behind on the 5 month ultrasound. My doctor said its perfectly normal because their measurements fluctuate.

Hiya, I would contact the docs & clarify with them. Unsure if your long cycle makes a difference (no idea about these things!) but it might do & may stop unnecessary worrying!! Good luck x

It is perfectly normal for your dates to change. It all has to do with your cycle length and when you ovulated. I wouldn't take measurements into hands as to worry about. Your babies measurements will change periodically throughout your pregnancy anyways.

everything was perfect at the ultrasound, the only problem is the difference between the bio and the chrono dates... i'm very stressed and can't wait 4 weeks...

You know your body best. Did they do an ultrasound? I'm doing a quad screen bloom test next Friday at my 15 week to test for lots of things & downs is one. So you'll probably get that too & also at the anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks they look thoroughly at everything & I've read that identifying a nasal bone is less common if downs is suspected.
