I got my epidural when the contractions got extremely painful where I couldn't sit or lay down through them, probably around 6cm or so. It took the pain away then and for a while, but when I got to 9 and 10 cm, the contractions were back again just as bad. Even though I was still in pain at the end, it helped me a lot because I would have been terrible if I had to deal with those for the extra three hours in between when I got it and when they started back up.
I got it at 7cm and it didn't do anything at all. I still felt everything so I will not be getting it this time
I got mine at 1 1/2 cm because my body reacts very badly to labor and wouldn't progress because I was. hhaving none stop contractions and it caused my body to relax and let the labor progress..if I wouldn't of gotten one they told me I would of ended up with an emergency c-section ..but it didn't hurt more then a usual shot and it took the pain away but I could still feel when I needed to push...everyone has a different reaction so your going to get horror stories about it on here cuz there's Soo many other people who have gone through it...don't panic and just relax you'll be fine
Yea different it doesnt really hurt. And you dont feel pain. Well at least i didnt i got it at 4 cm. I got induced at 6 am and had my girl by 2 55 pm
I got it at 1cm with my oldest son ... And it slowed my progress of dilating cause I stopped dilating at 3.5cms and had to have a csection cause I wouldn't dilate anymore . But everyone is different . MOST hospitals won't give it to you unless your least 4-6cms I think cause if you get it to early it can slow your labor down . I didn't feel a thing lol . Everyone's exspeirance is different tho .
I got the epidural at 8 cm.
it took all my pain away bug not the pressure from pushing. I was able to walk 30 minutes after i had my little girl. It wore off quick.
I had it, I wanna say the gave it to me at 4cm and its scary don't get me wrong but it don't hurt. It scared me more i didn't feel a thing when i was pushing. But I heard everyone has a different experience.
