Ok, I'm new to all this fertility and pregnancy stuff. But me an my hubby are trying to have a baby. So excuse me if I seem dumb, but what is an OPK, BFP AND FRER?
I got my BFP today with a FRER......thanks for the replies
if your using an OPK as an HPT it is only positive if the test line is darker or the same as the control line if it is light its just picking up LH. I agree with AngellaHas2, most women always get pos OPK, because LH is always in our system. Go to a dollar store and buy HPT so you can be sure. Goodluck!
I have also heard that a pregnancy can be picked up from a OPK. Just to make sure I would test with an actual HPT - preferably a First Response that can detect 5 days sooner. I hope everything works out for you. Let us know how it goes.
Most woman always get a positive OPK. I get one every day. I mean the line is not alway dark. but I do get a line. I would wait it out a few days and use a normal htp.
Yes you could... Get a preg test to confirm in a couple days congrats
ANGEL,
There is a guide to all the anacronyms used here. It's in the "Health Pages", (or it was, I can't seem to find it), it tells you all the anacronyms and what they mean. Since I can't find it to tell you where to find it, I'll just tell you those ones here.
OPK is Ovulation Prediction Kit
BFP is Big Fat Positive (Meaning she's pregnant)
and FRER is First Response Early Response.
I think, I may be wrong about the exact words.
