pre - labor pains?

So I'm 19 and this isn't the first question I've posted on here but I need help. I'm due in 8 days now and for the past 30 minutes or so I've had this (I don't want to say painful cuz it's not that bad) more like annoying sharp stabbing feeling in my pubic bone area. Like it's not exactly my vagina but a little above it where the bone is. What is this? Could it be the beginning of labor cuz i really don't know cuz it doesn't really hurt. It's just a sharp pain for maybe 2 or 3 seconds then goes away and then I'll get it again a couple minutes later.

I was thinking it might be her head lol cuz after the annoying pain is gone it feels to me like she's pushing against me right there afterwards or right before it happens. But i haven't felt it since a couple minutes after I posted the question.

I'm due in 13 days and have been getting these for a week or so... I've been told that it's he baby's head engaging and preparing for labour and that it's nothing to worry about but I would ring up your midwife to be sure... Good luck!
