pregnancy right after a molar pregnancy?

I recently had a molar pregnancy on March 11, 2009 at 14 weeks and had to have a D & C which to me was emotionally very painful. I have done a lot of research on molar pregnancies since I had never heard of them before. I have had to get my blood drawn to make sure my HCG  blood levels go down to 0. I was told by my OBGYN Dr. that I would not be able to get pregnant for a year. I have been very careful, however I missed my birth control one day and called the nurse, they told me I was probably ok since my cycles were probably not normal yet. I had my levels checked on may 11 and I was told my levels were down to 2. I missed my period on May 17 and had a pregnancy test done on May 21 which turned out to be positive. I am scheduled for an u/s today and am very nervous I don't know what to expect. I am very scared since I know it is to soon. please I need some advise.

I went for my u/s on Wednesday and I was told my the u/s technician that it looked like a really early pregnancy. I am so happy and at the same time still worried. She told me I she would have to do a vaginal u/s which was something different since I had never had one of those before. She also told me that it did not look like an ectopic pregnancy and there were no signs indicating it was a reoccurring molar pregnancy. I felt somewhat relieved when I left. I then was scheduled for some blood work to check my HCG levels. I called  the nurse the results and she gave me hope. She told me my blood work corresponded with what was on the u/s. I feel somewhat relieved I am just so scared to get my hopes up again I don't want to get hurt again. I hope everything is fine since it is still so early since my molar pregnancy. I just want to say there is hope after a molar pregnancy. I will keep you  posted.

My sister had a molar pregnancy in oct 2007 and was not diagnosed until she was 16 weeks pregnant.  She had to have 2 d&c's and then got pregnant 4 mons later and had a m/c which the docs said a molar should not have anything to do with her having a m/c.  She then got pregnant again this past oct and is due in about 4 weeks with a baby boy!!  so there is hope even if you are pregnant again.  you will just be monitored way more frequently.  she had an u/s about every other week during the first 20 or so weeks.  sorry what you are going through.  she comes on the site occassionally and she is kwalker08.  she would probably love to talk to you if you need some support.
