I was seen today for an ultrasound and they said I was 5w5ds pregnant and they saw the yolk sac but no heartbeat. I am scheduled to se the doc again on the 29th of dec. Is this normal. Is it to early to tell? They also said sac measured 4w 5ds. Its my first and I had a lil bleeding yesterday but stopped now

It is to early to see the heart beat yet. You probably ain't be able to see it or hear it til your atleast 7-8 th week. Good luck :)

Tthe heartbeat appears only after the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy, a very early ultrasound can show no fetal heartbeat even in a viable pregnancy.

Its totaly normal heartbeats usualy arent visable till wk 6.... And my guess is why the baby is measuring behind is the gestational gap.... Good luck on your pregnancy

My doc told me at my first visit last week that its normal to see a heart beat around week six, so it may have been just a touch too early for you. If the doc didn't seem concerned I wouldn't sweat it for now. Everything should be fine at the next appt. Good luck!!

It's probably just a bit to early to see the heart beat yet. I did how ever see the heartbeat of one of mine at just after 5 weeks but that was with the internal u/s. Try not to stress over it and i'm sure things will be fine. I bet you see a heartbeat when you go back on the 29th, although that probably feels like a life time away for you. Good luck.
