im thinking since this is my second cycle since my mc who knows what my body is up to...its crazy how the first cycle everything was back to normal...or so it seemed....i think that cycle was 27 days which is normal for me
i tested on friday...BFN....no surprise....im just waiting it out this week to see what happens
i dont have anymore pelvic pressure...just little cramps in my stomach that come and go...im sure ill get my answer soon
Sorry i took so long to respond, was out of town----based on the dates, i would say that it's possible, but there's no way to tell, shy of a positive test (or another visit from AF).
I wouldn't call it "likely" or "probable", just because your only BD date was only 4 days after lmp, which would put you roughly 8-10 days from likely ovulation (but if your phases are outside the average---which is perfectly possible---then who knows).
Have you tested?
I agree with Jess. If your period is off it is entirely possible to get pregnant right after having one. It just depend on when you ovulated... best way to figure out is by when you get a BFP or when your period comes to see if it is a normal cycle.
my cycles are typically 27 days long...i had a mc last march at 18 weeks and it took my body months to get to a normal schedule again
i would have got my last AF before the mc the last week of oct (24-27)...im just estimating because i dont actually have the dates :(
i know as of dec 1 i was 5 weeks preg and i lost the baby the following week at 6 weeks and 2 days...i do know for sure that i did get AF on jan 6 and it only lasted 3 days...typical for me
i have always had shorter cycles and short AF visits
please let me know if you have any more questions....i appreciate your feedback
and congrats on your preg
It is possible for you to be pregnant, yes--as soon as you have another period, that means your body ovulated again roughly two weeks before.
It is common for your body to simply take any "flushing" of the uterus/uterine lining as a signal that "ok, no takers, ovulate again in 2 weeks". If your body was not physically capable of sustaining a pregnancy, then you would not ovulate. But your body has apparently determined that no damage has been sustained and you are ready to carry on as usual and get back to procreative preparation.
We forget that, as emotionally damaging as a miscarriage can be, physically, your body simply did it's job. In 99.999% of miscarriages, there was no trauma, no injury, no damage---your body sensed a non-sustainable pregnancy and did what it does every time there is no viable pregnancy: opened your cervix and flushed the lining of the uterus. In a lot of cases, two weeks after that starts, you will ovulate again.
In order to tell you whether it's likely or not, I'd need to know a few more dates and ranges (i.e. what was your last AF before MC, how long are your cycles, what was the approximate date of MC, etc).
It is possible, though, just from what you've stated. Sperm can and do survive for up to 5 days in your body (though the chances of successful fertilization decrease the longer it goes to pretty slim by day 5). And the day of ovulation is NOT determined by your period. Your day of AF is determined by your ovulation. That's important to know. Your body can ovulate any time and you will likely have no clue that it has--you only know in hindsight because you got AF.
Yeah---I'm pregnant, and I ramble. It's all that progesterone ;-)
I'll just shut up now---let me know if I dumped enough info on you to answer your questions. If you have any more, just ask away!!
