question about being induced

I'm 38 weeks and 4 days and ill be getting induced tomorrow I'm kinda scared because I've heard it's alot more painful. Can you ladies who have gone though it give me any advise please.

I was induced with my first and was able to do it with no pain meds. I had nothing to compare it to but all i remember was being ok up until i was 9-10 cm thats when the contractions truely became strong for me but within an hour or less of being 9 cm i was pushing and had my baby girl and as soon as it wad ovdr i was up walking around. I am currently being induced due to preeclampsia and they started yesterday afternoon around 1 and I am barely at a 4 and it is 6:17 a.m. it is a very slow process
