question about inducing labor

I am a ftm and just wondering about being induced. How long after the 40 weeks will doctors usually let you go before inducing you? Provided baby and mother is healthy.

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow but my doctor won't let me go over 41 weeks .

Im getting induced today. A day short of 40w for him to come exactly on my 40w. She didnt want me to even go this long because he measured 8lbs 12oz in the ultrasound.

I was induced at 40+1. My doctor typically induces at 41w tho. I requested to be induced if my daughter didn't come on Her due date.

Most doctors want to induce before 42 weeks. The longest I've seen personally was 44 weeks.
