That happened to me. I was actually 5 weeks but was 6 according to my LMP...seems I ovulated about a week late, so my baby was younger than they thought. By 6 weeks they could see her. It's scary, but try not to worry too much yet. By your next ultrasound you'll know for sure.
Did they check your hcg levels
Our daughter who is almost 3 was nothing but a sac when we first got a peak at her. We waited anxiously for our next ultrasound. A few weeks later and there she was right on track with a little flickering heartbeat! The first ultrasound it was just to early! Hoping for the best for you!
it us a bit early to tell sometimes, but for me it wasnt. I had what is called a blighted ovum. The gestational sack grows, but the baby does not. I've had two. They are rare, so keep your chin up. I'm sure your baby is just too little yet.
actually blighted ovums are very common and alot of them are not found until around the 12 wk mark, you def need to wait until the second scan and hopefully they will see a difference in growth
I am expecting twins and in my first ultrasound all they saw was the sacs too. I am 21 weeks now and both babies are growing just fine. I was told in the earlier ultrasounds all they can usually see are the sacs.
This exact same thing happened to me. I found out verrrry early. 5 weeks and 3 days. There was only a sack. The next ultrasound u could see a little bean. Now I am 23 weeks. I hope all goes well ill be saying a prayer for you
I was 7w4d based off my lmp for my first ultrasound, but baby measured 6w4d. its very possible you aren't as far as you thought! Try not to stress about it. :)
Yes they checked my levels everything was normal they checked them 3x already
I'm hoping I'm just to early to see the baby I'm very scared... I don't even remember when my last cycle was ik it was some time in February in the middle so I hope everything works in my favor... I just don't want to experience losing another child... thanks everybody for sharing your stories n responding god bless n good luck to you all
When is your next ultrasound?
at that point its early to see anything but the sac. They will most likely have you go in again in a week or 2 just to make sure everything is progressing well.
see i dont understand why he would warn you about an ectopic pregnancy and say that if your tube ruptures your in trouble..... just because the sono shows you have the sac in your uterus its just a matter of finding out how far along you are to confirm its developing on tract... its clearly not in your tube....
I guess my doctor is warning me trying to get me prepared just in case sort of speak because I have been having problems w my right tube its damage n he was talking bout removing it before I got pregnant. I haven't had no pain since and no spotting or nothing so idk... I'm just waiting to see what happens w my next sono
Its better to go off when you ovulated because every womans cycle is different ranging from 26 days to 45. For some reason the drs alway like to go off lmp tho. But I found out I was pregnant at 4w 3d. Didn't have an ultrasound til 7 weeks tho and she was teeny tiny. Hopefully you just ovulated later and are not as far along as you thought. Just try to stay calm until your next ultrasound.
Hope everybody have a safe in happy Easter I'm counting down the days till my sono I'm nervous bout the results glad my husband is going to be there w me
Again thanks everyone for your support and I hope everyone has a healthy happy pregnancy and life..... I saw my baby today I'm 7 weeks and I'm due Nov 24th I'm so excited and scared because I'm high risk ik all I cab do is pray and hope for the best God has my back..... on that note God bless take care everyone
Thats great news :) (That you were able to see your precious little one and that they're alright). And I guess one way you could look at it is that high risk pregnancy is better than no pregnancy right? :) Good luck and I hope that we continue to hear good news!
Glad you got to see your little one. Hope for the best, and try to take care of yourself as much as you can. :)
