sciatic nerve

Today, I just started experiencing some pretty incomfrotable leg pains that start in my back and  extend down my right leg. From what I've researched it seems to be sciatic nerve pain. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do for pain relief? Im 16w 5d right now.

Sorry to say, there really isn't anything you can do! It's from the baby putting pressure on that particular nerve..I had it bad with my third baby and again with this one!! Somedays its not too bad n others its awful!! Massage can help, but it never did for me!! N walking never helped either!! That makes it worse, for me! That's what's the most painful, trying to walk around!! The days its really bad, I take tylenol so I can function! It does go away once baby is born tho!!! :-)

I have sciatic pain already will the pain just get worse as my pregnancy goes? My bf massages my lower back and my butt (it's a very tender spot that holds a pressure point to your back--what my friend told me in a simple way & so far it really helps)

Sciatic nerve pain is notoriously common in pregnancy.  I had it horribly my first pregnancy and suffered through it.  This pregnancy I started seeing a chiropractor as soon as I started feeling that tell-tale pain.  Best thing I ever did!  My last pregnancy the pain got so bad I could hardly walk. :-(

I just started getting it last week. I'm 33 wks. It  just tapers off on it's own, had back pain twice too but again went away on it's own. Walking helps it believe it or not!!
