After 37 weeks their lungs should be totally developed and surfucant which is a substance in the lungs keeps the lungs from collapsing is at high enough levels. They due still have at higher risk of jaundice and glucose issues though. My little man a bit of jaundice but other than that he was fine. :)
There's danger in anything you do. However, doctors start considering you "full term" after 37 weeks because at that point, the baby us basically just gaining weight and growing taller. So if you want to try inducing then, go right ahead. Like I said, I don't recommend castor oil or blue/black cohosh, but if it works for you, more power to you. :)
Well are there any dangers after 37 weeks?
Most people recommend waiting until 37 weeks, but if your doc gives you the go ahead, go for it. I don't recommend castor oil or blue/black cohosh, but whatever works for you, works I guess. Please do be careful, though. Good luck when you do try to induce. :)
Yes. I'd wait till atleast 37 weeks to be safe. Realistically I'm 37 weeks and 3 days. Probably could have this baby today but have been doing everything in my power to put it off. Drinking a ton of water, sitting most of the day, and refraining from sex. Had sex a few days ago and contracted for hours and lost my mucous plug the next day so trying to hold out to 38 which is friday. The thing is your date could be off. You could try to have a baby at 36 weeks and they could really be more like 35 weeks. After 37 is the safest, but preferably 38. :) It will be there soon enough.
Just a question..I'm no where near 36 weeks so please no jumping down my throat, I'm just curious
