Hi, stephh,
As you can see, everyone is taking your answer as a matter a person simply not knowing she was pregnant for a while.
You said, "sperm doesn't live for 2months right? So said person would have had to concieve in august?"
The answer to the first question is, sperm doesn't live for 2 months. But embryos certainly do. Once a woman is pregnant, it just begins quietly growing.
Your second question seems to think that if someone finds out in August that she is pregnant, it must be that she got pregnant in August. That is where the logical flaw is. As you can see from everyone's answers, the early signs of pregnancy are so subtle that it's very normal for a woman not to know she is pregnant for quite a while in her pregnancy.
Meaning --- if your friend had sex in June and no more sex after that, and learned in August that she was pregnant, she got pregnant in June and just didn't know it. If she had sex in July and August, then she would need to get some information from an ultrasound to know roughly when she conceived. But it is certainly possible, if her last sex was in June, for her to have gotten pregnant in June and not to know. Early pregnancy is often not marked by any symptoms.
Some women don't have no symptoms I didn't know I was pregnant till December and I was already 15 weeks on my second trimester and with my first pregnancy O I had symptoms at 9 weeks so it all depends on the person's body reaction
Yes that's very possible and happens to alot of women! on my 3rd pregnancy (this pregnancy) the condom slipped and 4 weeks later I took a test, boom came back positive. This was in October of last year I got the positive, well I went in to the obgyn and turns out I was 11 weeks pregnant!!! So I was pregnant before the condom even slipped lol.
Early pregnancy doesn't have obvious signs and signals for some women, it's quite possible to get pregnant in June and not realize it until August.
Sometimes you get light bleeding, which some women confuse for a light period. Some women don't get symptoms, and some don't get a positive test until much later
With my first I took 3 tests, all negative, thought I was still getting my period. It wasn't until I went into a clinic and found out I was just over 10 weeks along.
It's entirely possible for someone to fall pregnant and not know
