Woke up with pain, almost like a constipation pain but not quite. Now I realize the pain is just in my lower back and stomach, coming and going but not frequently and not for long. It actually hurts though! Could this just be braxton hicks? Never experienced menstral pains or constipation in my life so don't know how to explain it... 39 weeks today.

You can try the usual walking, having sex, eating something spicy, primrose oil, pineapple core, raspberry tea.. Contractions can start veerrrrryy far apart and not last long at all, depending on how fast labour progresses, doctors can give you meds to  speed things up too x

If these are contractions they definitely aren't close enough, they're probably ten minutes apart n last 30 seconds or less. Is there any trick to get then to come closer together and last longer?

Ring your midwife or the labour suite! Braxton hicks tend to just be uncomfortable.. Even.if they just examine you and your not in labour
your best to know for sure! Good luck xx
