Glucose test in the am trying not to eat but im starving nd this water isnt cutting it -_-

I take mine on tuesday and I was told not to eat eight hours prior to the test

I don't understand this not eating at all lol. I ate a huge dinner the night before my glucose test and then after i finished the drink and was sitting in the waiting room for the hour i had to before they took my blood i ate two muffins neither of which where sugar free. My tests came back perfectly fine and my doctor nor the nurse ever said anything about not eating.

I ate before mine, they jst didnt want me eating during the hour i had to wait and i passed mine.

I wouldn't eat anything because I had the 1 hour one and they never told me not to eat so I took it And it was elevated so I had to go back for the 3 hour one where I couldn't eat for 8 hours before and everything came back fine with the 3 hour test so I suggest not to eat just to make sure because it might make the test a little elevated!

I just looked at my time and I dont go until 1:40 thats impossible and them ppl wrong for that I eat small portions thats why im always hungry for dinner I ate like small grilled shrimp ans chicken salad like 10 bites it was gone ima try and drink water and go to sleep

Don't eat! I ate a sugar free muffin b4 my test and got a call from my doc to come in immediately. He asked if I ate and told me to tell him the truth or he would be sending me to get pumped with insulin. I was starving... But not worth it cause I had to take the test all over again! :-(

Eat!!!! They told me i could eat whtever. Just not to eat something super sugary an hour before the test. Don't starve yourself lol. Itll be fine:)

they told me i had to fast too but it wasn't true. the nurse told me i could have ate something that night just not an hour before my test. i didn't eat anything at all. and literally 5 minutes before they were about to take my blood after drinking it i puked it all up and i still passed. a lot of women say they loved the drink but i hated it. i was so annoyed after i got outta there. went and got me a cheeseburger lol

That's weird that it's only the 1 hr test & they are making you fast. But if you do bad tmrw then your just gonna have to fast again! Lol
