I was told we couldn't eat deli meat during pregnancy. Do you get your sandwiches heated up?

You can eat deli meat.

There's a chance it could have bad bacteria but there's not a lot of outbreaks in the bacteria. I know a ton of women who at deli meat while pregnant and they are fine

You could cook it perfectly and still catch Listeria. If it's gonna happen it's gonna happen. I'm not giving up what I want just because of the risk of something bad happening. I drive my car and I could get into a serious accident at any time. I work a lot I could go into preterm labor from it. I eat sugary foods I could go into a diabetic coma easily from it. But I know my body and I pay attention too warning signs. No offense but I'm not giving up such a silly thing like food just because of a bacteria. I have a higher chance of being thrown off my horse and losing my baby than catching Listeria. Sorry for the rant but it's that kind of thing that bugs me. Just let me enjoy my sandwich and be happy for me.

This is also why I don't read everything on the internet because I get paranoid. But I wasn't eating a lot before I found out I was pregnant and I just want to be healthy for my baby.

I work and subway... I definetly dont want to eat it much after 4 years! The meat needs to be heated, but it is safe. I am servsafe certified, and technically subway doesnt have the deli meat that is typically associated with listeria.
