sweeping of the membranes

Has anyone had this done? If so, how did you make out with it? What was the out come?

I had one done last Tuesday  (38 +2 weeks ) been losing plug for just over a week and still pregnant.  But have been having lots of contractions yesterday and today

I'm 39 weeks today,  started loosing mucus plug Tuesday an had it done today.

I had one with my son, lost my mucus plug about 3 days later and was in labor about 4 days after that. I had him at 39w3d
