You just gotta sit down and tell him. Before he here's it from someone else. It's scary but you just gotta do it. I was18 with my first and was scared to tell my dad. I made him take me for a ride and I just told him. He isn't really one to be mad at me though. So he held in his anger but i could tell he was disappointed.

Just sit down and tell him. With my first baby I told my nana and aunt and left mom out until I was 5 months and she was very upset and even mad at my nana and aunt for knowing amd not telling her... imagine if she would have heard it from them first... its just best to sit down with your father and tell him before it gets later....

I had this happen tonight. I am also 20, but my mom is old fashioned. I'm 18 weeks and barely told her tonight because I am just scared of her as a person. You just got to tell him, the worst he can do is be mad about it and maybe not talk to you for awhile but you don't know if that will happen. If he does get mad, it'll blow over eventually.

I told my parents at the same time. I'm the only girl and the youngest so I felt like my dad was going to be sooo mad! But he wasn't. He was a bit disappointed that I'm young and also that I waited awhile to tell them but he was happier to have another grand baby on the way. If your baby's father is around you should have him be there too when you tell him. My dad liked the fact that my boyfriend was there and told him his plans on taking care of me and the baby. Good luck! :)

I'm only 20 and I'm terrified to tell my dad, I'm about 7w and the rest of my family knows except my dad. I know he's going to be really mad. My mom died about two years ago, but I think she would be excited about this.

I'm an only child and I had to tell my mom. My husband is a year younger than me she was shocked and I feel like she was disappointed with me but it had to be done. She is just happy that it is with a guy who is here for me.

I'm exactly the same as you, 20 with my first. My mum took it better than my dad did though, I've barely spoken to my dad since I told him because he isn't happy about it at all. He will still see you as his baby girl but just sit him down and tell him, there's never an easy way to do it, just be brave, let him know its your choice and if he doesnt like it then oh well, this is your new family, not his, he might take it better than you expect though. Good luck :)
