this is a must read people are crazy

So my sister is mad at me because I want to go to the hospital to have my baby LOL. She had her babies at home and I supported her all the way I was there and it was truly beautiful but scary at the same time it was just us no midwife or doctor and she wants me to do the same. I told her what my husband wanted for me and also what I want for myself. She tried to put something in my drink to put me in labor. So I stopped going to her house. I know this is so crazy right and on top of that she wants to breast feed my baby and for me to breast feed her 4 and 3year old. I know this is the most crazy story but it is so true. I love her but I can't have her around me right now.

Ok, is she fine from her mind? I mean, how can she possibly ask you to do that? You have every right to get her out of your life. It's your baby and you should breastfeed your baby, not some crazy person. Also, I know a lot of people give birth at home, but  there are risks. You should avoid her as much as possible.

I agree, there are so many emergency situations that could happen that you or your baby could need a hospital's support. And what in the world is going on with the breastfeeding thing??? Why would you swap children?! And why is she still breastfeeding a 3 and 4 year old?!! They should be drinking regular milk!!!

There's nothing wrong with avoiding someone who's bringing stress to your life, or uhh...trying to drug you while pregnant. :/

I'm going to agree with the others, she sounds a little out there and I'd be avoiding her too right now. But even if she wasn't so extreme, it's your choice what kind of labor you have. If you're comfortable in the hospital, then that's where you should be.

That's how I feel like this isn't real but it is so real. Im just staying away. My hubby doesn't even want her holding our baby at this point and even though Ive held hers and have been so apart of their lives. I feel I can't trust her with mine. It really hurts not to have her acting normal wish my mom was alive for so type of support.

I don't even know if I'd feel comfortable with her around the baby!! What if she just decides to breast feed it herself when your not looking?! That is outrageous, and she needs to know her boundaries, not to mention she's trying to drug you!! She sounds a little off her rocker, you poor thing!!

KTowne: I had the same thought about her breastfeeding the baby when mom's not looking.
NewMom: I know we are all a little shocked at her behavior. But I think its really important that you look at her mental state as a whole. Before all this, was she acting odd? Any signs she could be a danger to her own kids? I hope you will not let her be with your child unattended. Could your husband have a talk with hers?

I think she might want another baby. But she cant expect to just take urs while u take care of hers. I think u should watch out for her to. I wouldn't trust my sisters if any of them told me that.

Like real life I'm officially scared of your sister lol. And I'm not judging or anything this is seriously a honest question, why do people breastfeed children until they are 3 and 4?

^ I agree!! I'm almost a little uncomfortable past 2! You don't continue formula after 1, why would you continue breastfeeding? It blows my mind. I read people breastfeeding past 3 and it just seems so ridiculous to me!

its a personal choice when to stop breastfeeding, if you look at the wold health organisation guidelines they reccomend breastfeeding until the age of 4, of course most people do not do this, but I personally wouldnt knock anybody who chooses to breastfeed for as long as they want so long as it still has its benefits for the child, alsoregular milk from a cow contains huge amounts of antibiotics etc that they feed the cows, so its not actually that good for you, your much better off continuing the formula for a few months to a year after they turn one, cows milk can also be very harsh on a baby (1 yr old) as well, but for the question, I would also personally be worried about your sisters state of mind, its one thing to be vocal about a home birth, but she has stepped way over the line in trying to induce you by giving you a drug and also about the whole swappy breastfeeding thing going on, she could possibly still have some untreated post partum depression going on, or something similar, and I would as the other ladies have said, be extremely conserned about having her anywhere new your baby

Stacey, I go by my ped's recommendations when I feed my babies regular milk after a year, she is one of the top ped's in new york state and I trust her opinion 100%, there are people that give their babies milk instead of formula before they turn a year, and are 100% healthy, I'm not talking about benefits of bf'ing, or knocking anyone, I'm saying, how is a 4 year old not feeling that's uncomfortable? Or the mother? It might be for other people, but not me! I breastfed my son until he got teeth, after that, it was done for me, and he is perfect height, weight, and is so healthy, he rarely gets sick, so it's personal choice.
