Hi I just found out last night that I was pregnant I took an at home pregnancy test after being 1wk n 2days late for my cycle. I just started bleeding today it's kind of like my cycle but it's not as severe the blood is brownish and jelly like and I'm having small cramps. Is this normal? This is my third child I have birth to my 2yr old and I had slight spotting and I aborted my second child now I'm keeping this one. I'm just trying to make sure this is normal Btw I'm never late on my cycle

I am 5 weeks pregnant and today after a busy day at work, i started bleeding. I have passed a very small clot but dont have any pain. I am resting at the moment and thinking that this is my bodys way of telling me to slow down! Cant help but worry tho

I have had both scenarios.  I had a period like bleed at 5 weeks in November and it ended in complete miscarriage.  After two days of bleeding I did a hpt which was negative.
I am now 10 weeks and had 14 days of bleeding at week 5 which lasted for 12 days.  It was different though.  It was more like brown discharge rather than bleeding and was never red.  I had an early scan at 8 weeks and all was fine.
I think everyone is different.  I have seen posts on here where women have had red blood and everything turned out fine.
You should be more worried if the bleeding is red and you have painful cramps.
Any type of bleeding is not normal and you should seek medical advice if you are worred.
