true labor?

Ftm and I'll be 40 weeks on Friday and I'm 2 cm dilated. My Dr. swept my membranes this morning and I can't tell if I'm in true labor. Pretty sure I'm having contractions about 7 minutes apart and the tightening is in my lower stomach with back pains. How do I know when I need to go to the hospital?

You'll know you'll definitely know haha
But ring your midwife and explain your pain , see what she says

Try taking a warm bath or shower. It helps with the back pain for me. I have been stuck at 2 or so centimeters for two and a half weeks. I'm scheduled for induction Thursday at 3 if my little guy doesn't come on his own. I'm 40+5 /: and you'll tell when you're having an actual contraction. You're starting to have them now it sounds like but not strong enough to be super worried. I was told to go in if it hurt so bad I could barely walk.
