trying to conceive

hello doctor, iam 34+ from new delhi..i have been married for 2 years and was never on contraceptives.. few months back we have decided to seriously plan to go the family way.. my periods have been regular though every month first two days of mensuration are very painful..(my cycle is 28-34) so painful that i end up taking painkillers. I went to the gyane and she asked me to get follicular montoring from the 11th day after the periods.. the egg size was just 8-10 mm and didnt burst until the 15th day... and few days later i got my periods(22nd May).. at this stage she gave me siphene100 for 5 days and then again i was put on follicle monitoring.. this time there were 5 eggs ranging fro 19mm to 28mm... on the 14th day she gave me HUCOG injection and on 16th day(6th june) one egg ruptured..since egg got ruptured i have been experiencing subtle lower abdomen pain and for the last 2 days(12-13 june) sometimes i get sharp cramping pain.. if implantation has not happened then i should get my period any day starting from 17/18th june.. My query is i have heard implantation pain is exactly like period pain..is that true?? is it necessary that breasts go tender becoz i dont see that sign at all.. i do have craving for the last 2 days/and feel nauseas sometimes...but i do get that in my normal periods also.. so pls tell me
1. how do we differentiate the pain??
2what should be the right size of an egg to turn into conception..
3. how long does sperm live in ur body..some says just 12 hrs/some says 48-72 hrs so iam all confused
4.what are the correct days to try..can we try 1 day post ovulation too?

HI!
There really isn't a good way to differentiate the cause of the pain.  Implantation symptoms and PMS symptoms are very similar.  And many people have NO symptoms.
The only thing to do, is wait and see what the pregnancy test shows--this drives every one crazy!
Breast tenderness may or may not occur, but probably will sooner or later if you do conceive.
A good follicle size is 20mm--so yours sounds great!
Sperm survives for up to about 72 hours in the female reproductive tract.
Your MOST fertile times are three days before until two-three days after ovulation.  So, for example if you have a 28 day cycle, your fertile time is days 11-16. If you are using ovulation predictors, be sure to remember that they show the LH surge which occurs 24-48 hours before actual ovulation.
When HCG is administered, the follicle ruptures 24-48 hours later.
I think that covers all your questions.  I hope this is helpful!

hi! if you have a regular period suppose to be you had a period last may 4 (first day of last mens) and then you'll hav eyour ovulation on may 17 (14th day from the first day). so you'll be fertile from may15-may17 (this will be the time you have to have sex for you to have a baby) the sperm usually stays inside the uterus up to 3 days.. and then when implantation occurs (7days after the successful intercourse), there's no pain,, and you'll be having some spotting, 'coz that is the time the egg is implanted.

then if you didn't succeed you'll be having your next menstruation suppose to be on May 31.

trying to have sex post ovulation will not be succesful of concieving,, coz there will be no egg to be fertilized anymore.. a woman stays ovulated for 24 hours only. so better count the 14th day from the first day of your period, then that will be your ovulation day,

breast do become tendes when you are pregnant and when you're gonna have your period. so be careful on that one, its not a positive sign of pregnancy,, and having nausea either, coz,, one week before having a period its normal to have this signs.

hope this helps..^_^
