Honestly in my opinion it's completely about will power. I smoked for 4 years, my parents and bf all smoke, and my friends smoke. The day I took my pregnancy test I bought my last pack of cigs. They lasted a day maybe two. That was mid November. I haven't had a single puff since and I'm due in July.it's hard for a couple days, buy some tic tacs and suck it up. It gets easier and after a couple Months you'll be like omg I can breathe again. You can do it just remember your baby comes first!

I switched to an electronic cig. I don't know if it is really that much better but I figured it had to be at least a little bit.... And I've cut back using that and will hopefully be done altogether any day!

Electronic cigs aren't any better especially while pregnant. And since u don't get the feel of smoking a whole cig u smoke more and it causes nicotine poisoning.

I quit right when I found out I was pregnant. Just gotta get some hobbies, chew gum, eat suckers or something. Whatever you can do to distract from the urge to smoke. Good luck!

With my first pregnancy i had problems quiting bt probably because people made so whenever i could id sneak a puff here and there, bt with my second i quit cold turkey no problem then with this one i quit before i even found out i was pregnant cause i couldnt handle it.. I think it all depends really, people can say its easy blah blah blah bt we all smoke for different reasons i believe. Jst try your best to quit and thats all you can really do.

I had really bad morning sickness so I had to stop because the smoke was making me even more sick omg. But I got lucky. I feel bad for those who had to quit on their own. Some days I will feel for a cig but I'll put 4668 pieces of gum in my mouth or mints or candy and or drink lots of cold water or chew on ice ... now i cant even b around someone who smokes yuck I get sick .....but you'll do fine just try. Good luck to you xx

Yea if your not ready to give things up to benefit your childs health in my opinion your not ready to have a child. That's a serious matter and can really hurt your baby. Imagine having a 5 pound baby because your too selfish to give up a horrible habit. Or your baby being born with asthma because your self. Its baby first then you. If you don't think that way now you never will. Prepare yourself because now is the time to start making good decisions involving your child and your only thinking about yourself. Just being honest.
