Pregnant;; with possible ingrown toe nail:(

I'm almost 7 months and have had a real BAD pain in my toe (right foot) and its to the point where u can't even touch it . I looked up ingrown toenails and I think that's what it is. I want to go to my docter but I can't untill next week because I work . What do you ladies think I should do? Should I just try to wait it out? Or should I just go to the ER because I read that if your toe gets all red then it could be infected and like I mentioned before it hurts way too bad to where I have a limp. :(. I need opionons ladies please;;

it sounds very painful you should soak it in warm water while your deciding it will help with the pain i would go to the ER or call your doctor first thing in the morning it probably won't get better on it own

Hi i wanted to tell you epsom salt works really well for ingrown toenails it safe during pregnancy but only for soaks not orally you'll still need to go to the doctor but it will help a lot with pain and swelling just soak your toe for thirty minutes in very warm water and then clean it peroxide works to clean out bacteria as soon as you put it on there but iodine also works for bacteria end infections too and it continues to work even after it dries to stop bacterial growth so its more effective but only for shallow wounds and then put on any kind of over-the-counter antiseptic if you do that every few hours and keep your foot out of any kind of closed shoe or socks because they breed bacteria then your pain should be a lot better ,it will stop the bacteria from growing and the swelling will go down

Does sound bad. I get them all the time, have since I was 15 and regularly cut mine out so they don't get infected. If it's that bad and you can't be seen go to the ER. I know how bad that pain is. My first one was horrible and I had no idea what it was. My mom let it go for almost 2 months buying OTC stuff for athlete's foot before taking to the doctor :S
