Before going for that long walk stretch your arms and legs for 10minutes so they can be warm up and after the walk stretch them for 5minutes. I went for a walk the other day and my abdomen was hurting so I had to stop for a couple of minutes.
It definitely helps a lot to stretch just for a few minutes before and after exercise.
