Does the amniocentesis test tell you 100% that yes your baby has down syndrome so does it tell you that you have a high risk if positive????

My mom had that test done when she was pregnant with my brother and they said the test said he was gonna have problems but my brother is 100% healthy so don't put your faith in those test your baby could still be born 100% healthy

Amniocentesis tells you for sure if the baby has it or not.

I don't know for sure but I think it just tells you how high your chances are. My niece had it done and her chances came back high. That was a few weeks ago they did more tests but it still isn't a sure using and I don't think it will be till the baby is born.
