waters breaking

Hey hoping someone can help juat a wee bit worried :S yesterday at 3:30 in the morning my waters or what i thought was my waters slowly leaking i went throught 6 pairs of knickers and lost count of how many pads i went through and then at 4:30 in the afternoon my waters broke and i was still leaking after as well so i phoned the hospital and they told me i had to come in and i started getting contractions the midwife then went and done some checking and told me my waters hadnt broken because nothing came out when they were doing the checks and it was properlly just discharge. I guess im worried because it was a lot that came out and it was clear and some times a very little yellow came on the pad! could the midwife be wrong and it was my waters i am 9days overdue and if it was i thought they could only leave you 48 hours with your waters broken because they arent going to induce me until this saturday when i will be 13days overdue. Sorry this is so long :(.

it most definatley could still be your waters, or more likely your fore-waters which is the bag in front of your babies head, not all waters break like this, when fore waters go the head then nestles up to your cervix and stops anymore from leaking out until you cervix dialates more, if things havent progessed, ie contractions started by the time 69 hrs are up I would go back to the hospital for another check up
