Actually with a lot of midwifes and hospital who support midwives you can wait 24 hrs before going in after your water breaks. So its normal. I know if my water breaks I'll be waiting before leaving. You have 24 hrs before infection can become a serious issue.
Yeah I also heard if your water breaks you could get an infection so they sometimes start woman on antibiotics. They usually want to delivery the baby BEFORE 24 hours, not 24 hours later. I'm nervous for you especially if you've been outside and in the bath. I would call another doctor to get another opinion!
Wow, that is unheard of. Where I'm from hospitals admit you if your water broke no matter what. That su*ks! All I've heard of was a warm bath to help ease contractions, maybe breathing exercises?? Lol idk girl, hope you get some relief!
Already seen my midwife and phoned the hospital, unless I'm having contractions they won't see me until 9am tomorrow where they'll induce me. Midwife suggested a warm bath as pain relief,.
Contractions may not start, heading to the hospital is best.
You aren't suppose to bath when your waters break. It increases the risk of infection somehow. You are suppose to go straight to the hospital when your water breaks
I've tried to spend most of the day on my feet and taken a long walk with the dog but so far nothing except achy feet :( will probably spend the rest of the night bouncing on a gym ball, will definitely try a bath though :)
If your water broke gi to the hospital. They say to go as soon as it breaks. They will start pitocin and contractions will start. Your at risk of infection with your water open.
Go drive around and hit bumps hard. Squats. Walking. Being active should help :)
My mom says a warm/hot bath
