what B/C wont effect pregnancy?
So I want kids, but hubbby wants to wait atleast till fall before we start trying (or stop using protection. He said he doesnt want kids yet to the point where he would go without sex if thats what it ment) But he said he might want to start trying (trying meaning stop the B/C and see what happens) after that (after our wedding) so I want a form of birth control that wont take for ever to get pregnant after i stop taking/ using/ doing it. I also dont want something that has major side effects for me and any future babies. I was thinking nuvaring. any thoughts?
We are in a verry good relationship, been together for 2 and a half years and are engaged. But anyways, we did that and it worked but he really doesnt want kids yet. We also went without anything for 6 months and never got preggy but he is getting concerned that I might and he just doesnt want to risk it any more. (which isnt like him so I asked if he didnt want babies yet cuz he wasnt sure if he wanted to be with me and he said not at all , i dont want babies cuz i dont want babies yet.) It really ***** cuz hes gone alot and I want a baby, something to remind me of him, and to keep busy and cuz i would love to be a mommy. I've been an auntie for 10 years and love it and want my own. Hubby actually gets mad cuz i want kids so bad im always taking my nieces out places and stuff.
You can also use the pull and pray method...I used that for two years before I did the cocpper IUD and I never got pregnant. But my husband was very careful and I avoided as much as possible to have sex during ovulation time. It wasn't as great as uninterrupted sex but it was a heck of a lot better than condoms. I hate how cocndoms feel but I wouldn't go without them outside of a stable relationship.

no the dosage in the nuvaring is just a hormonal dose like that of a birth control pill.
We both hate the feeling of condoms, id rather not have sex than use one. That and we have too much sex, condoms are too expencive when you have alot of sex. Because it releases it right into your vagina, does the dosage have any spermicide in them? Spermicides just make it numb and doesnt feel good at all. (if ya can feel it) (kinda like spermicidal lubes)
I think you're thinking of an IUD. the hormones in nuvaring are absorbed through the vaginal walls instead of being absorbed in your stomach like a birth control pill. It's exactly the same thing as a birth control pill but inserted into your body and realeasing a monthly dose.

What's wrong with just condoms? They aren't 100% effective, but neither is anything else. With those you won't have to worry about any long lasting side effects. I have friends that have gone both ways. . . .some that it took a month to get pregnant and those that took 2+ years.
I have never used BC in my life, but that's just me so I don't have any advice regarding BC.

Thanks so much, it think Ill get that.The only thing is ....How long do you have to use it for it to be effective? and I heard that it makes the uterus walls not as easy for the fertilized egg to implant.....i dont know if i like that. It seems like its already there and it just has to die cuz it wont implant... I dont want to kill any babies, i just dont want them to come yet.
no he doesnt feel it unless it comes out on him.. lol then we just take it off rinse it and put it back in but he doesnt mind.

No such thing as too mcuh info! The more the better. I dont mind if I feel it but I know the man will hate it if he can. Has your man ever said anything? Can he feel it at all,a nd does it make sex...not as enjoyable?

I was on the pill and it took me 3 months to get prego off of it but I was only counting my cycles for 2 months. Definitely don't go on the shot, but I'm sure you knew that.
Im on nuvaring and I love it. Its really easy to use (as long as your not afraid of your "down there")
The only bad parts is that it can come out sometimes during sex but otherwise i haven't had any problems with it. once you take it out you're protected up to 7 days (they dont want you to take it out unless your on your period, but if it were to slip out during sex or something you wouldnt have to worry about getting pregnant)
It also makes me feel kind of "sore" too.. I dont know if thats the right word, I can't "feel" it but when i put it in the first few days I feel like I have what some of the ladies on here call "balance beam crotch" lol im sure you can take a guess at what that means. I dont know what the reason for that is and sorry if its tmi but just thought I would share my opinion.
My doctor gave me samples to try for a few months, I put it in my phone when to put it in and take it out and it works great for me. One less thing to remember everyday.

Wow, there just be something wrong with me then. I was on bc pills for a year and a half, then went off them for 6 months and counting having alot of sex,and no protection, and never got pregnant, (miscarage early on once but thats it) The pill I never remembered to take so i was thinking something that wasnt needed daily.
I was on the pill for almost 10 years and went off of it and got pregnant in two months with my first pregnancy.
a friend was on bc pills for 4years i think got off and got preg. the next month. good luck
my sister quit her bc pills and got pregnant that month she is the most freakin awesome two year old now. she went back on bc and is now pregnant again after quitting the bc
birth control pills "wont take forever to get pregnant after" you stop taking it. there have been girls who got pregnant right away after having stopped talking it.
this should be somthing you should talk about with your own doctor. they know you and your body best, because you might wind up with a birth control pill that throws your body out of wack
