I wanted to get my baby girl a braclet with her birthstone on it.. but then I realized my due date is very close to cancer as well. Knowing my luck id get her a gemini birthstone and end up being over due into the cancer range lol. What's your babies birthstone?

It works eithr way. I have always went with one birthstone per month, not the ones that match up with your sign. What ever you choose to go with works!

Due Aug. 8th. However I have to get a c-section, so I'll most likely have my baby between July 30- Aug. 3rd.

I'm not goin' to argue about such a silly thing. Like I said, people are goin' to have different beliefs on this.The zodiac birth stones are based on astrology while the monthly birthstones are based on modern society. There Is monthly birthstones and your Zodiac Birthstones. Monthly birthstones will fall through months, like what a lot of people will use today. Then, there are your Zodiac Birthstones which fall through your date of birth. Both of them are correct In their own way. And, If you actually do google It, It will have both... actually, It will have more than juss those two, there's even weekly birthstones... Juss wanted to put that out there, I'm not tryin' to be mean or rude, but everyone will think differently and there's no right or wrong way It's juss how YOU go about It and If It's by month, then so be It. This will be my last post on this topic as I do not want to argue with anyone, you believe what you want to believe In, there's no right or wrong on this subject.

Birthstones go by month they have nothing to do with your Zodiac sign... google it.

I get a Leo baby, =).  Aren't peridot's  yellow or a yellowish green? And I found that information rather interesting.  I was born on Sept. 24th, and have always been told my birthstone was a sapphire.  Then again Sept. 24th lands on the Virgo/Libra cusp, so  the birthstone switch makes since.

That's what majority of people do, Is go by the months, but If you wanted to be all scientific and get In to It deep, It actually goes by the Zodiac Signs/dates you were born. But, people's beliefs are different, some people don't believe In all the astrological stuff, therefore will only go by months and base the stones on that. It's juss one of those conversations that will go either or and based on your beliefs.

Oh cause I never heard of that. -.- I thought that every month has different birthstone. Unlike zodiac it depends on what date it falls. I think zodiac birthstone were the Mayan thing.  So yeah. :) glad now I know.

My mom bought me a necklace for Christmas with diamonds and the February birth stone (it's purple, I don't know what it's called) and I ended up having my baby 3 weeks early in January. Lol.

My baby boy will be a Taurus and will supposedly have the Birthstone of an Emerald even though he'll be born In April.... If he decides he wants to come on time, If not, then early May. And for the Zodiac Signs, they fall on different dates (which will effect what birthstone givin'), so she's sayin' she can be either or. Say for example... April has the birthstone of a Diamond but If your close to the dates and stones crossing each other, It depends. Like for example... My baby should be a Diamond since he'll be born In April (April 25th) but on the dates April 21 - May 20 the birthstone goes to an Emerald... so juss because your baby will be born In April, doesn't mean he/she will be a diamond. It depends on the dates he/she will be born. My mom Is right on the borderline on her birthday between an Aries and Taurus.

No they are 2 different things. The month is split in two for the zodiac asks birthstones r the same thoughout the month

Birthstone and zodiac are two different thing. My birthstone is sapphire since I'm born in September. My baby will be due April so he is diamond. My zodiac is libra and my baby is Aries.
