where do i go?

DH and are seriously considering me having the baby else where,  not in the country. where in the world do you get the best maternity health care at a reasonable cost?

I'm in Nigeria, West Africa. To get a Visa to Canada from here u need to have some eye-popping sum in your bank account, don't think it'll will work for us. DH is thinking Ireland, i think it might be easier, i don't know anything about their health care though, any more suggestions/information will be welcome. Thanks ladies

Uh, depends on where you are. If you can get passports and visas and whatnot then I don't see why not. But your baby will be a citizen of the country they are born in and would need citizenship papers when you go back home, unless you decide to just move to a different country.

Canadian healthcare is free in the sense that you don't have insurance and copays, etc. but you pay a ton in taxes. I don't know how that would work if you're not a citizen of that country (to be able to get free healthcare as a non-citizen).
