WIC stands for Women, Infants and Children.
It also will help if you decide to feed your baby formula and once they start eating baby food and up till they are 4 I think
Wic is a program to help low income women that are pregnant or with an infant.
Pretty much to get you back on your feet.
Thank you ladies! Very helpful:)!
May i ask what wic is? I see it referred to often on here and i am just curious!
And my social security card
All I had to take was proof of residency and a photo id.
I didn't even need a proof of pregnancy where I live. Just proof of residence, and proof of income (which we can use medicaid card for that) photo id...

Call your local office and ask since it differs from state to state. All I needed in NC was proof of address (some official type letter, didn't even have to be my name on it just the address), proof of pregnancy, and some form of ID (social security card or birth certificate is fine if you don't have state issued). I didn't need any proof of income. But like I said Thays for where I'm at, could be different where you are.
I went in today for wic. I needed proof of residency (a bill or something mailed to your address), photo ID, medicaid card if you're on it, source of income, proof of pregnancy (sonogram or Doctor's report), and it helps if your Doctor's office can fill out a wic referral form first.
Your ID, proof of pregnancy, they should have all the paperwork you have to fill out. I believe that's all I brought. They will weigh you and take your iron and everything there.
Each state is different. Call the wic office and see what you will need. I k ow you need proof of where you live and a pay stub if you are working.
