Hi!
We don't know how much alcohol it takes to cause fetal alcohol syndrome, so we recommend that none at all be used during pregnancy.  Now, having said that, I must admit that I have never seen a case of fetal alcohol syndrome ( in 20 years) caused by those few and very common "I didn't know I was pregnant" drinks.  As long as you stopped when you found out, and you found out very early, you will be OK.
And as Princess Jam mentioned, many people believe its OK to have a glass of wine or two now and then anyway.  For safety's sake, I say none at all to my patients, but your baby will be fine.
Good luck and congratulations!

Hi There,

Some women that get pregnant sometimes aren't aware for a month or so... I would definitely say that you are safe.  If you are really concerned, you should talk to your doctor to reassure you.  Even a glass of wine (so they say....) during pregnancy seems to be OK from what I have read... although people argue either way.

Anyways.... I think stressing out about it and putting stress on the baby and worrying about it is worse then the actual drinking of wine.

I would relax, and as I said before, talk to your doc. if you are concerned :)
Best of luck!!
