wine

Do any of you ladies know anything about drinking wine during pregnancy? I've had a couple friends tell me red wine is fine in moderation. One glass on a night. Anyone have any doctor tell them that is ok? I haven't drank any. Just curious...

Doctors recommend a glass of wine a night for high blood pressure and also drinking ONE beer when you have a kidney infection helps get rid of it but no amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy...

No amount of alcohol is proven safe during pregnancy.  A 5oz glass of wine has as much alcohol as 12oz of beer or 1 shot of liquer. Even though it's not enough to get u drunk it's enough for baby.

I ordered a glass at 18 weeks to celebrate doing well in my classes and I had 3 sips and felt terrible about it so I quit. I try to only ingest things that I would feel comfortable giving my child. So no more wine for me lol

My doctor told me it was fine and that there are no studies that links wine to any deformities etc as long as it's done in moderation. But I'm still nervous about trying it...
