working

How far along were you ladies when you stopped working all together? I only work one day a week but its at a retail store and I unload the truck and put merchandise away. Luckily hubby has a good enough job where I can do that and it doesn't really effect us financially. I'm just wondering because its getting tough to do my job. I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow. Is it too soon to leave? I'm not going back to work there either. So I'll be quitting when I do leave. I also have a toddler at home. Maybe the extra bonding time with him will help the transition from only child to big brother?

I quit my retail job when I was around 25 weeks or so. I'm 36 weeks now and still working my other job and I plan to work until the week before

I quit as soon as I found out at 5 weeks. I just wanted to focus on myself and baby not customer service.

I'm going all the way up until I'm due. I'm 33 weeks right now and working 32 hrs a week.
My technical due date is April 6th but the doctors have told me since the beginning I could go anywhere from March 28- April 6. So if he's not here by April 3rd, I'll go on leave then.

It's really up to you if you leave. Your doctor's will tell you, most of the time, that you can work right up until you have the baby. It is ultimately your decision how far along you are when you leave work.

Im thinking I'll put in my two weeks notice next week. They have been known to tell people not to come in for their last two weeks. Which would be fine. I love my job but the hours are terrible. I tried looking for a new job while pregnant as well but who wants to hire someone who will just need to go on leave then they'll have to replace you anyway? Companies don't want to waste the time and money training you. Unless its a skilled job that you will have permanently. Unfortunately I'm two college courses away from my degree. So I can't get one of those jobs quite yet.

I stopped at 34 weeks because in Australia if you work past that you need a docs cert but its up to you when you think you csn work up until.  Some women work until labor but im just so tired and work 1 hour away i just stopped. :) best of luck

I had to quit at 8 weeks because my morning sickness was so bad I was throwing up in front of customers and they weren't busy enough to have me come back when I felt better and I've been looking for jobs since about 16 weeks but nobody will hire me because I'm pregnant... but if you can afford it then its not too early. Plus it'll give you time to get your little ones room ready and start "nesting"
