I'm so sorry you women are going through this tough phase of your lives. I can't relate to the extreme in which your faith has been tested but only know a fraction of it. I had a premmie at 30wks 3lbs 4oz and only 1 month stay at the hospital. At the time I thought I wouldnt be able to bear it and little did I know that some mothers were there for months. All I wanted was to be in the NICU but with my other children that made it very difficult since they needed me too. I dont know if you have other children but if you dont at least you can spend all your free time with them. They know when Mommy's there. You are a very strong person and I dont know you but am very proud of you and the way you are handling everything. Try to keep thinking positive since they need to to believe in them. Every day that goes by brings you closer to bringing your baby home. That's how you have to see it. Please post on your baby's progress, may God and his Angels assist you in your time of need. Take care Momma.

Sorry to hear that things haven't gone so well lately.  It must be so hard when you are faced with these sort of setbacks.  Hopefully this next test will provide some more information---I'm sure it's driving you crazy to not know what it wrong!  This is a difficult time, but he has proven that he is a fighter.  I know you feel helpless, but you are not!   You are the most important person to your baby and your presence can still bring him comfort, even when you can't hold him.  He loves you and knows you are there.  Hard as it's been, you've gotten this far, so you have strength that most people can not even imagine.
I will be thinking of you both and keeping you in my prayers!

things have not been progressing like they should....i havent been updating because hes been sick still is sick...seemed like the mins he was finally stable i got to hold him once and than the next day everything went down the hill.....hes been tru a lof of testing....somenthing is wrong with his intestines they dont think its NEC they have ruled out any tumor or any other mass in his belly....all his blood coultures for any infections are coming back negative..all the x-rays are not showing anything...yesterday he even got a CT scan and nothing there either...but his belly is sooo big its scarry and i feel soo bad i cant do anything....since his belly is so swallen its pushing on his lungs and his having trouble breathing so they are always making changes on his vent...he looks soo puffy to me today i dont know what to do...they are going to try another test tom. they are going to take him down to radiology and insert some kind of liquind to see the movements thas making in his intestines they are going to watch it go down to see if it stops anywhere .. they think he might have some tighteness in the bowl cuz hes having a hard time having a stool....in the meantime he got also dx with a hearnia in his growings which will need to be repaird with a surgery sometime down the road...they have stopped his feedings....and im just so worried and im driving myself crazy, life sucks and i cant do nothing to change it and make it better.

Hi there!  I think you might be one of the only ones with a new preemie--but there are lots of us who have been there.  Would be nice if you had someone with a little one still in the NICU to chat with though.  I know it's been a very hard few months for you.     How is the little guy doing?  Are you able to hold him now? How is he eating these days?    My first 2 questions to the NICU nurses each day when I went in were always "how was their night"? & "did they gain any weight"?  I probably drove the nurses crazy---I was constantly asking a million questions!

Please give an update when you can.  I'm thinking of you and little Gabriele!
