Surgical clips and bleeding

Four years ageo, I had a radical prostatectomy.  Since then I have experienced bleeding from my penis - and sometime anus - during a bowel movement.  More recently I was passing large blood clots for 24 hours during urination.  For this I was givin ten days of Keflex and the passing of the clots ceased but I have returned to intermittent bleeding following a bowell movement, expecially when my stool my stool is firm.  A recent xray showed that I have multiple metallic surgical clips in the peripheries of the left and right hemipelvis and in the inferior aspectof the pelvis.  Do you think there might be a connection?

1. The bleeding from penis during a bowel movement happens 75% of the time.

2. The blood is normally bright red.  During the 24 hour episode much of the was maroon in color.

3. The latest event occurred this morning.

Thanks

Thank you for your question. I can understand how this may be a concern for you, however, I have some questions to better understand your symptoms:

1: Does this bleeding occur every time you urinate or have a bowel movement.

2. What color is the blood?

3. Have the blood clots in the urine ceased?

Best,
