Yes, a CT scan should in most cases show an abnormality of the urinary tract. Depending on radiologist preference, you may be asked to drink oral contrast media, and likely have an injection of intravenous contrast media (dye) which would enhance the kidneys, ureters, and bladder for an optimal scan. The radiologist might also prefer a "delayed" scan, where another scan is taken after 15-20 minutes after the contrast injection began. Hope this helps! :)
