Can Multislice CT scan detect Urinary tract obstruction?

Can It detect any kind of obstruction in the urinary tract? e.g. Stone, mass, something in the bladder maybe that it causing the flow of urine to be weak? and is this used with or without dye?

Thanks a lot for answering, was really getting pissed because no one seems to care around this forum and no one seems to answer anything..

Yes, a CT scan should in most cases show an abnormality of the urinary tract.  Depending on radiologist preference, you may be asked to drink oral contrast media, and likely have an injection of intravenous contrast media (dye) which would enhance the kidneys, ureters, and bladder for an optimal scan.  The radiologist might also prefer a "delayed" scan, where another scan is taken after 15-20 minutes after the contrast injection began.  Hope this helps! :)
