Hi,
Thank you for your updates. How is your wife? Aside from RA, does she have other existing conditions like diabetes? Good to hear that the CTA was fine. If an ulcer is developing, she may need to have this checked for proper management. Referrals to other specialists such as dermatologist and vascular specialist may also help with the diagnosis. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you. The did a CTA and say it is getting blood, yet it look as though there is no blood flow. She is developing what looks to be an early stasis ulcer on the tip of her finger. Her nail is releasing. the outer aspect is becoming hard and very painful.

Hi,
How is your wife? Are there other symptoms present?  Aside from Reynaud's, fingers that change color may be caused by  Buerger's disease, chilblains, Cryoglobulinemia, necrotizing vasculitis, scleroderma, SLE and peripheral artery disease.  Further evaluation may need to be done including complete blood count, blood differential, antinuclear antibody blood test and even x-ray of the hands. Take care and do keep us posted.
