Help???? My doctors are stumped.

I have a 14 year old daughter who has been healthy all her life.  She is not over weight and athletic.  She has been very tired and not feeling well for approx 3 weeks.  I have taken her to doctor for the last 2 weeks and they are stumped.  She tested negative for mono 3 times now, negative for Hep A.  She has elevated liver enzymes, that are not going down.  She now has swollen hands and wrists and complains of severe joint pain.    She was running low grade fever but now has no fever.  the only meds she has taken is ibuprofin.  Normal periods, not sexually active.  Normal abdomen ultrasound and chest x-ray.  The blood work also now shows inflammation.  She is in so much pain she can't walk.  Her urine test shows slight protein in urine.  she has lost 5 lbs in last 2 weeks and is nausea but no vomiting or diarrhea.    What is wrong???  When should I start really worrying??

Alot of those symptoms sound like lime disease to me.  Maybe you should have a lime test done.

Have you taken her to a rheumatologist to check for juvenile rhematoid arthritis (JRA) or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)? Both will cause swollen, painful joint, low-grade fevers, protein in the urine, weight loss, nausea...
