Rapid dripping in throat

Hi. I keep getting a rapid dripping in my throat witch sounds and feels like it's  letting out air and some sort of liquid in a rapid clicking sensation coming from just behind the adams apple. Sometimes it can dry out my nostrils too. it's been like this on and off for nearly a yeah now.
It most often occurs of a nigh time when I lye down on my back to sleep. The only way iv found to stop it is to put pressure on it by putting my chin down to my chest,  when laying down.  leaving I horrible tinted taste in my mouth.
It was wondering what the corse off this could be. Cheers.

I have this same thing happen, and for what I know it is the thyroid dumping hormones. The thyroid is in that area of the throat and drips the hormones you need, but sometimes if you have a sluggish (Hypothyroid) or overactive (Hyperthyroid) it can suddenly dump a large amount of hormones all at once. It tastes very bitter, and in my experience its bitter, medical, and oily tasting.
You may want to get a blood test to check for either condition.
